Re: AAE 6101 error

Just to add an example to your thread - I had this AAE-6101 issue with my 2015 Macbook Pro running a Motu USB interface which I had to replace with a Zoom thunderbolt audio interface. No more error...

Re: Logic 9 user wanting PTLE system - questions

One thing or bug in Logic I really hate is the way it will stop half way through recording/guitar/singing ... and you only realize after you're done.

Re: What if i lost my cd key

Sounds like the OP never registered it or something. The so called "key" should be on the card or CD sleeve (for m-powered) or the guide (as sw rec mentioned).
I could never lose such a thing...

Re: New machine: Tips??

Hi,
You could log into your digi store account and download the file again, burn it to cd/dvd.

Re: Mbox 2 Micro vs the Original. What's the difference?

Thats correct... it is called the Mbox 2 micro and that is the current /only version. There was only "one" original mbox (the one with the focusrite pres/collaboration).

Re: Mbox---the original one

Hi,

You're in luck indeed. You could just as well buy the v8 upgrade instead of buying 2 separates like you mentioned as its about the same price. So, original mbox + leopard + PTLE8 is fine.
For...

Re: Can I Get My PT8 Money Back?

A P4 ( my P4 is in the store room collecting dust since 2006) is quite low in terms of running any DAW these days. That being said, I feel a quad is overkill if you're only going to be running PT....

Re: Capture last take in PT??

Sorry bout the timing. But I made a mistake, as in logic(used this way too many times ) it's usually ctrl/alt/cmd + "r" to capture when you're playing. I'm surprised PT is still behind with...

Re: Will Digi 002 upgrade fix all my problems....

Sorry to hear you 're experiencing this ,but the setting can go both ways really. 1024 is the maximum in my case, so I suggest not to set it higher.

Consider the M-audio profire 610 ( much...

Re: Beat Detective Drum Editing in PT8

But PT is very fast. I realize I spend only 1/4 of the time in PT as compared to Logic. FX are processed with speed, but most of all the tempo changes one can do with audio i.e. matching/changing...

Re: can I use my firewire solo as an soundcard

Its best you use one audio interface at a time though. The solo is better (stability, low latency , converters/pre) than the mbox. So, PT M-powered software might be a good idea. Mbox sells pretty...

Re: Is PPro Tools LE compatible with Apogee Duet?

Yes it is. However the TC Konnect 6 is a better front end if you're recording vocal/guitar at home. It has reverb/direct monitoring and cubase LE (with which to export the tracks as desired)
And...

Re: Is PPro Tools LE compatible with Apogee Duet?

hi,
You're right. Anything coming from garageband is a lot of work but If you have logic then you're in luck.
Simply open the gb project in logic and then export ( either by OMF/audio tracks and...

As The Dougfather mentioned, I dont think you'll be able to do anything with that anything below 512. Even when I was using the firewire interface I stuck to 512. USB 1 and very low latency ?...

Also, you could try other burning software like nero to try to eliminate the problem.
As others mentioned : if you got it sounding to your liking in PT then its job is done; problem lies elsewhere.

Thats the 3rd gen MB... very nice. Definitely get 4GB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM ( i.e. 2GB per SO-DIMM slot) for this sweet laptop and you're set.

Dont see why it shouldn't work, but you need at least 2 gb of memory to keep the MacBook sweet with PT.

Is that the 2nd gen MB?

The DigiMAX D8 through ADAT into MboxPRO or M-audio lightbridge is worth a look too for the 8 channels, but there are others though.

I thought you were interested in the m-audio Profire instead.

Thanks for the recommendation but the 002 is bulky; it defeats the purpose of a mobile/portable set-up.

Do you reckon the new mackie pad(small mixer) pres are better than say, the m-audio fw410?

Back to PT

I have been trying out the Apogee duet with Logic 8, and didn't like it at all; Logic's interface and roundabout way for editing is something else to contend with.

I was wondering if anybody here...
