What I mean is if for instance I had a 2408 and an Audiomedia III card, could I record my tracks (24-bit) into Digital Performer or AudioDesk,save it as an OMF file and open it up in Pro Tools...

Will you need an additional hard drive in order for the Pro Tools LE software to launch, like with TDM systems or can you get by with just a fast ATA/66MHz internal drive?

If you check on www.logicuser.com, you'll see that the upcoming update for logic audio in November will have direct support for the Digi001 via Direct I/O.
