Daniel has nailed it on the head and that's what got me - I could not get around BFD3 like I could BFD2 - whole new ballgame. And I still hate the gui.

BFD2 had a good looking gui and they bunged it up in BFD3. A lot of people complained about it on the fxpansion forums to no use. The functionality also took a hit.

Thanks for the link - that's quite the varied instrument list. I also like that they list the recording chain used :-)

Seeing the kudos for Superior Drummer I have to ask - do they have DW kits and Sabian cymbals? I have both in BFD3 and would hate to lose them. Not that I'm looking to ditch BFD but it's always good...

I don't think so (unprocessed samples); you're forgetting fxpansion BFD 3. Not free but has really decent libraries as well as what comes stock with it.
