Re: Are we not due an update??!!

PT application went 64bit in v11 but there are still some so called "frameworks" that are 32bit and need to be 64bit until PT can launch on Catalina

Re: Please Help Me Upgrade My Old TDM Rig

Avid C|24 will work but the older DigiDesign Command|24 will not. Be sure which you have, because both are referred as "C24" from time to time

Re: Trash Can 10 Core Not Supported?

Re: Miking up a Banjo

Always nice to try multiple mics if you have limited time and only one take, but I think the question was what would be the best educated guess how to record with one mic

Re: Pro Tools 2019.6 not recognizing iLok

First thing that comes to my mind is your license is not up to 2019.6 so the question is do you have active Support Plan and if you have, when have you last synchronised your license on your iLok key?

Re: Error Message

Colon is a Mac character (not allowed) but used in Windows drive letters where it is allowed.

Slashes are forward on UNIX and backwards on backward systems (Windows)

Re: AES Update for Pro Tools 2019

Not likely general. Avid has a license called Live Sound Production Toolkit that enables S6L 128 i/o record/playback. Maybe this feature is linked to it?

Re: Trash Can 10 Core Not Supported?

Re: so happy i did not update my PT ...

Avid appears to appreciate selling hardware and ever since PT9 the software sales have not necessarily drived hardware sales, which means higher software price. Like it or not, that's the way it is....

Re: 128GB vs 64GB memory

Hi, welcome to the community.

Not everything my friend. Trashcans' memory work at its fastest with 64GB max. Yes you can install up to 128GB but those memory configurations make memory work...

Re: so happy i did not update my PT ...

We don't make policies, we just use what is good for us.

There was a time when Pro Tools was one software and you needed certain hardware to be able to use it. There may be time where Pro Tools...

Yes, if you crossgrade you surrender your perpetual license and get discount on subscription. If you choose to keep your license you just pay for new subscription instead of support plan.

Re: so happy i did not update my PT ...

Good thing is you can already go for Ultimate if you want full features, bad thing is it costs more. Though if my guess is right once there is only one PT the cost will be "Ultimate" anyway so why...
