I was recommended a fews mics in different price range but
how much better is a 1500$ mic or a 800$ mic vs a 400$ mic!?

I'll get the quad then... my macbook pro is also retina with 256 sad and 16gb memory but I'll be using my imac and may buy a macbook pro later this year if they put a 512ssd in it and not a 256!

I got one last question.
You say 55 stereo plugins.. is that with the quad only?
For small project (my band) 2 guitars, 1 bass a drum and singer would the apollo duo be enough and save money for...

Thanks southsidemusic, the apollo quad was my number one choice since they now give the thunderbolt card for free right now. But I wanted to be sure about this before I spend over 2k on an audio...

yes it's the octopre.
Should I get something like the motu 828x, 828mk3, saffire 56 plus a stand alone mic preamp or go with something like the apollo quad, metric halo uln-2 etc?

I have never used anything like the eleven rack live or at rehearsal so I would like to know from people that went from tube to the 11r if they're happy with their sound....

I need to decide either to buy a powered frfr speaker and try the eleven rack or go with a blackstar ht-40 combo...

And Ola have been an axe fx user for quite a long time!
First the axe fx standard and now the axe fx 2.
But if you take a look at all his videos he seems to make everything sound incredible!!

My first idea was to go with a mackie HD 1221 and a ZED-10 FX mixer.
On the Mackie there is only one input (not 100% sure). I would conenct my mic and my acoustic guitar to the mixer and the mixer...

I have the eleven rack and want to go FRFR for my live and rehearsal setup and I don't know [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] about FRFR :P
I would like to use the 11r and be able to use my FRFR speaker...

I would like to go FRFR with my eleven rack and my local store can have the Mackie HD1221 at a good price.
I saw great reviews on the EV SXA250 for the eleven rack and on the QSC K12 for the axe fx....
