Isn't this what we've always done? you would mix differently from one tape to another, and when PT first came along, it certainly wasn't as robust as it is now..

Hmmmm... That's what I thought the purpose for using the cards was for.. doing away with latency..

Guess I really don't need one then as I'm doing alright with native plugs.

Aren't UA in cahoots with Avid now and redesigning all of their plugs as RTAS?

Maybe you'll get an upgrade.. and maybe you will get a lump of coal.
