How much does RAM effect G5/PT DSP performance?

I am going to get a G5/dual 1.8 with 1.5g of RAM. Would bumping it to 2.5g of RAM provide any benefit to PT performance?

In PT 5, I use "Write automation to all enabled parameters" in the Edit menu to do snapshot automation all the time. Am I correct that this feature is dropped in LE on a 002? Why on earth they would...

The MOTU Midi Express XT got terrible reviews over at harmony-central.com. All of the negative reviews were from Windows users, however.

The MidiMan 8x8 also got terrible reviews.

Has anyone tried the Adaptec 3940 in a G4/Sawtooth yet?

Digi's compato docs say there are "some incompatabilities" with them, but won't specify what they are.

I've had the G4 since October...

I have been lobbying for dual monitor cards for 2 years with little success. IXmicro has thier PCI one, but it won't work in the PCI video slot of the B&W machines - bad design.

I think you have 2 problems going on. One is the SCSI wide to Narrow problem (unless you have a beige Mac and the burner is on the Mac's SCSI connector). As others have mentioned, you'll need to...
