John, upon powering up, all eight faders should go to +12 then back down to off. If not, I would say you have a problem.

yes, midi controllers, sorry. You should be able to pop in the 6.4 disc as if you were gonna install. you will come to a screen that gives you options to check or uncheck, command|8 drivers being one...

If you chose to do the full install of 6.4 when you updated, the C|8 drivers should already be installed. In PT look under peripherals\control surfaces and the C8 options should be there already if...

Hey Ray, It is 6 characters per strip. The display is definitely better than on a 002. It is one big display, not divided up into sections like the 002. Time code is displayed in the upper right...
