Fantastic! I can't stick with Firewire forever. When I upgrade my computer, I don't want to have to buy a PCIe Firewire card just to use the MBOX, so I'll look into RME. Thank you!

Maybe it is time for me to go back to 12.7.1. Re-arranging every note is very time consuming. I had hoped it would be different in 12.8.1.

I figured I can get past this issue by doing the following:

1. Change HW buffer to different setting (1024, if I'm using 512, or vice-versa).
2. Let Pro Tools sit there frozen for several minutes...

I also meant to mention that I made sure that "Prime for Playback" was not checked either. The only thing I have checked is "Loop".

ArKay99 is right! That is the entire problem. If I have a DVD in my BluRay drive, PT 12 sits there at Initializing Databases, and then the instruments. As soon as I eject it, PT 12 opens up....

Perhaps I just need a plugin that goes from mono to stereo? I noticed Waves has a PS22 plugin that will do just that; unfortunately, it is TDM and not native. So I am out of luck with PS22.
