Re: files make no sound and don't move meters when played in Pro Tools le

What exactly does it do when it crashes? The error messages are "usually" a hint as to what the problem is.

Re: I'm so good at Pro Tools

I'm so good at Pro Tools that I run my "Grammy" macro on a blank session....and they just mail it to me.

I've tried a bunch of that stuff in the past, and I use balanced cables. I recently moved though so I'll try again and see if somehow, magically, it was bad grounding in the room.

Thanks.

Re: Computer OS sounds disable PT output?

The creative "thing" is my internal sound card, not the external USB interface. I've already disabled Windows sounds and the "problem" didn't show up until I installed PT11. I used to be able to...

Re: PT 11 freezes?

I'm not really looking to record at home. I work at a studio so I can take care of all of that there. I'm just looking to edit reliably.

I bought PT10 with a student license....cost me...

Re: Asio settings

It happens to me as well.

Supposedly it happens when the asio driver has to change its sample rate outside of whatever you have the audio device set to.

For Ex: If your sound card is set to...

PT 11 freezes?

It worked fine last night with a "test" session but now it won't open anything. It freezes as soon as I click on what I want to open.

10 works just fine....not sure what's going on. Ideas?

Re: Using a second computer just to run plugs?

I didn't know VEP would actually work with non VI plugins. That's very interesting.

Re: Breaking up multiple songs in one session into multiple sessions?

I usually just split up the songs on the master session, and then delete all but one song at a time and "save as" like mentioned above. You can clean up unnecessary associated audio by removing...

Using a second computer just to run plugs?

Possible?

I know it's kind of an odd idea and I'm not sure how effective it would actually be, but it just popped into my head. I know VEP will let you do that with VIs but could it work with...

Re: Error message!! You are running out of CPU power. Remove some Native plug-ins...

Step number one when you run into ANY kind of error in pro tools is to save your session, and reboot pro tools. She can be a testy mistress from time to time....for not apparent reason.

If that...

Re: Pro Tools 11 Student Upgrade

At the bottom of the PT9 upgrade that was on the first page, there is very tiny print stating that Avid can change promotions and discounts at any time...as it does in the license agreement. If all...

I'm using...

Re: Windows 7, pluging in Mbox2 Mini (digi...not avid) causes blue screen

So, I've decided that it has absolutely NOTHING to do with PT and is entirely a usb driver issue. Pro tools will install without a hitch if I don't connect the mbox. As soon as I plug it in before...

Re: Windows 7, pluging in Mbox2 Mini (digi...not avid) causes blue screen

I've always uninstalled from the cd with the box disconnected, but I'll try again when I have time. I thought I had to upgrade to 8.0.5 from .3....I didn't know I could skip all of them and just go...
