The Focusrite, or any other native interface can be "Everything that isn't HDX" in your system, at once.
You just set it in Audi Midi Setup for system audio and then in the DAW's as an audio output.

Yes, I do this.

I have all my MTRX inputs sent up to Dante so I have the same IO labelling between Logic/Live/other native apps and Pro Tools Ultimate/HDX.

You have several options.

You could use the Radial Catapult:

FWIW, I also use an AirPort Extreme between the router and my switches.
But my switches are Dante compatible.

Are you using the built in ethernet adapter with DVS?
There is a known problem with built in ethernet- the work around is to use a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter.
