This clip-edge automation issue pops up every other few years but is usually fixed in the next release.
This time it was broken when moving fades starting at PT 2019.10 but it was never fixed(!)....

It was reported 1,5 years ago when moving fades got broken. 7 releases since and the latest 2103 made it even worse. I'll believe it's fixed when it's actually fixed :D :( :mad:

It is exactly that! I've read "Fixed an issue where trimming clips with fades caused unpredictable results" thinking after 17 months they might have fixed it.

The bugfix notes are right though,...

Can you check the activity monitor -> gpu history?
Protools can be a drain on the gpu. I've seen this since PT 11, we needed to upgrade all our Mac pro gpu's to work on dual screens.

Unfortunately we cannot update beyond PT 2019.6 due to bugs. Does the latest eucon work with 2019.6? I know it's not supported, but usually that just means it hasn't been tested but...

It might be due to backwards compatibility, opening your sessions in Protools before commit was added, but either way, that setting is in the 'commit' section of the prefs and also only affects...

It's not "needed", but people I work with are using this setup and told me the temperature dropped a lot when using an eGPU (95 C to 75 C), which also meant a lot less fan noise. Seems legit to me.

I would assume max. +12dB over reference of 0dB VU / -20dBFS, so limited at -8dBFS.
The other -8dB translates to me as "don't make the quiet sounds to quiet so nobody hears it in the living room"....
