Yes it would be a little tricky - It's 32 bit for a start PT9/PT10-Vanilla! - I'm considering - And it works with older interfaces - Thanks for the hoarder comment!

Please don't have a go at me - I think some of my ideas are not as bad as you think.

I asserted the use of all I/O - 72 channels I/O including ADAT I/O but they are not ALL useable simultaneously...

Well, a 1GbE = 1 Gigabit (USB 2 = 480 Mega bits per second =24 CH I/O
capable.

An expanded system would be 3 X the number of I/O and would exceed 48 channels so in my calculation could be touch...

Hi - But would it be possible to use some of the ADAT in as well so:

4 ADAT in + 4 line in = 8 in? (HD OMNI)

It is possible (isn't it?) to use 8 in at the same time -?

One reason could be the Apple Ethernet to Gigabit adapter and 1 giga-bit LAN is twice USB 2 for the sake of argument, so a 2.5 Giga-bit LAN should work maybe?

USB 2 is good for 24 I/O simultaneous...

Did Avid ever sell PT9 with the license already on an iLOK V2 dongle? - Because that is how it looks.

This would be an Ebay purchase - And the person has not...
