your os (10.13.6) could be the issue. its not officially supported and theres been numerous reports of people having troubles with low buffers etc on high sierra and PT 2018.

been looking into processor upgrades as well. i have a feeling though that its not just the processor, it seems like the architecture of the machine and how the motherboard interfaces with PCIE etc....

the files are showing the correct sample rate in the AF and SM. i think my prefs are correct(?). i havent changed them since upgrading:

you are referring to the copy dialog in the pro tools import audio window yes?

what i meant was it seems to work by using import audio but i first have to search my library with audiofinder or...

so with an HD native rig running PTHD9, do RTAS plug-ins eat up voices like on TDM systems? im wondering if you can use all 192 voices for tracks and the RTAS plugs will work like they do in LE..not...

haha, im a little amazed by it myself.. to my understanding, PTLE with CPTK will utilize up to 4 Gigs RAM.

i got a really good deal on the ram and was an attempt to help QT playback issues.....
