Re: D command or D control, that is the question

Looking at the D-show, it looks like the perfect console, even for post use. The size looks right [No need of a ladder to reach the top knobs], the angle and commands appear right.

Re: Support for PT 7.1... and beyond?

Very few of not none of the small company users can afford an icon so it would be only fair for digi to support the ProControl and Control 24 cause they'll be around for awhile.

Re: Dead Fader

ProControl fader are not the most reliable faders, in fact they do die often. At first, a fader will stop working. After restarting the board it will come back to life but die again. This will happen...

Re: Mixed in the box?

There was a traditional re-recording mixer who told my partner and I, "you're the protools mixers, mmm... well Prootols is barely good enough for television". A few year later, he opened a PT stage...

Re: Mixed in the box?

Hi Scott, well I guess I need to add my 2 DBs to your list. I have been mixing MITB since 1994 using "the mouse" because their were no controllers then. On top of my head, here are a few of the movie...

Re: Logic Pro 7

I guess I should have been a bit more specific when I said audio post, I meant sound editing and mixing for film other than music. I'm talking FX, Dial Foley, Background and so on.... Not since 1991...

Re: Pro Tools TDM 6.4.1 Update for MIX Owners

Well Digi, I don't think 6.4.1 will be THE very last version. They are some problems you need to look into besides the white noise problem.
Try this: insert a reverb (D-verb) on an aux track and...

Re: Replacement Options for Waves Plug-Ins...

I can't say that I was ever a big fan of the L2. In fact, Waves plug ins don't sound very warm. The TC|Master X combines more within one plug in (comp/Limit/Exp + EQ) and the result appears warmer...

Re: IF ICON BASE UNIT WAS 24 FADERS

Australia is not Hollywood. In Hollywood, things move slowly, traditional mixers are blocking the doors to ProTools and ProControls, Control 24 in order to keep their DFCs or Euphonics boards in...
