Looks like it's your video card's driver. Always get the updated driver from the manufacturer's website, not the third party's website. For example, I have an ASUS NVidia card, but get my drivers...

Close any programs and run LatencyMon for 10 to 20 minutes. It doesn't depend on an issue with Pro Tools, but rather will highlight any issue with real-time audio.

You're not alone. Just adding a track does not create a new template or track preset nor does adding a plug-in to an insert, so not sure what the ask is here - or why a new folder would be created....

How did you set the Processor Affinity? How do you open/run Pro Tools? In my case - I use the Command Switch within the PT shortcut Icon - it won't work if I've set Pro Tools to Run As Administrator...

As Darryl mentioned, try Processor Affinity.

You also need to run LatencyMon to find out if/what is causing the spikes and audio issues.

Do you currently have a perpetual Pro Tools license? You may still be able to find a REINSTATEMENT - not a Renewal - from a third party reseller. This would give you a license to the latest Pro Tools...

Personally, I would copy any edits down the timeline in each session, consolidate the copy, and name it for the chapter. I would then import that as recorded audio...
