Agreed - and on number 2 even go beyond that and talk explicitly about what stage the depth is at.

I know the differences quite well - I've been coding in C/C++ professionally since the 80s. But this thread seems to mix concerns in a way that doesn't add up.

Hence my perplexity.

Ok I've read this whole thread and I still am not sure what it's about.

64 bit... what?

64 bit PT codebase for addressing computer memory, etc?
Plug in bitdepth?
Summing bus bitdepth? ...
