Re: Waves does it AGAIN - Waves=Criminal

Oh please...spare me the high-horse rhetoric. The issue here is about Waves' rigid, non-mainstream policies which have absolutely driven their customers to madness over the years. It's as simple as...

Re: Waves GTR

[QUOTE]

I'm right there with you. About 3 or 4 months ago I deleted all my posts that were conributing to a thread about Waves GTR because I got irritated after the thread got hijacked into a...

Re: NEW-Waves- Solid State Logic E Channel & G Buss

Agreed! Sometimes we just want to talk about the products, and how they fit in to our work. Damn sick of the same few always hijacking informative Waves threads into slams against WUP. I really...

Re: RTASinstruments Don\'t Bounce With DigitalPerformer

I don't bounce with VIs, so I'm not sure if this is supposed to work or not.

Re: ProTools 7 with Motu Digital Performer up front

Re: ProTools 7 with Motu Digital Performer up front

Will not work with 7 just yet, stay with 6.9 for now.

Re: The exchange-to-PCIe pricelist is up now.

Like I said, it's OK for those going from say, HD2 to to HD2 Accel PCIe. BUT, for those going from HD2 Accel to HD2 Accel PCIe, it's not a fair price. There's no upgrade in performance to speak of,...

Re: The exchange-to-PCIe pricelist is up now.

The only problem I have with any of this is is that, on DIGI's info page, it's called a CROSSGRADE. And for those of us for which it is truly a crossgrade, i.e, where we're simply exchanging our...

Re: Quad G5 and PT

Really...what's the big deal Digi? Give us the specs and prices. It's already been announced a month ago and some already have it.

Re: Quad G5 and PT

Zennman -- did you get this as a exchange for a PCI-X setup? Also, do you have and upgrade pricing yet? Thanks.

Re: The new WUP sliding scale!!!!!!

Really doesn't sound too bad to me, actually.

On another topic (and nothing to do with your post, no offense) I'm not sure I like WUP either, but I'm damn sick of every time someone has a...

Re: silent computer cabinets

G5s will overheat in many of the isolation boxes available from various manufacturers, not to mention adding external hard drives to the equation. If you leave a G5 in an iso box with temps in the...

Re: Digi-will PCIe-PCI Expansion performance=current ?

Of course the bigger question (the answer to which we know can't be answered by Digi right now for obvious reasons) is whether or not there will be a new higher horsepower PCI Express-based system to...

Re: Both core and accel cards will be PCIe

This type of annoucement forces users to have to read between the lines in order to figure out what to do. Digi should be a little more forthcoming about this issue, as it affects many users.

Re: SDII itunes problem?

MOTU has spent more than year developing their expanded Pro Tools support -- no need to worry about that going away. I'm sure that some of the missing features you mentioned will be included in a...

Re: reverb plug-ins

I haven't heard anything better than the Eventide Reverb yet. It's lighter, and more airy/transparent sounding than the heavier convolution verbs. It just takes one slot per instance -- not too bad...
