it's been re-installed about 10 times,
thanks anyway... it sees the card and you could probably install the asio driver by selecting it in the windows wizard but you can't even open the .exe...

XP2000 was running at 1.67 and 26000 is running at 1.97,

sorry when I said at the start "no sonic benifit" I meant no immediate improvment in quality of the "dry" signal.

Imagine having a JPEG on your computer and blowing it up, notice how it gets more pixelated and worse in quality, if you had great resolution in the first place then it's not as effected but really...

you'll get so many conflicting views on this, try and see what you think, if you don't like it (which I doubt) then you can stick with 44 and save space but really it's not a huge...
