Have you googled this error looking for your old 7.x version, things are so different on Pro Tools 11 I would be surprised if they have different fixes. Start by googling for DAE-6104 not AAE-6104.

It is not clear what you mean by non-Avid users? You mean non-Pro Tools users? Non-Pro Tools 11 users? or non Avid interface users? There are *many* reports of users with recent Mac/Mavericks systems...

Don't know. Some folks with these problems had them fixed by getting rid of the Fusion drive "pairing". But that did not work for everybody. But it is easy to try, especially if you just try cloning...

Ian why not grab a Firewire, Thunderbolt or USB external drive, clone you boot 10.9.2 drive to it and try that with your current Fusion drive not used for anything. That is probalby less work than...

Have you tried booting off an external OS X drive or splitting the Fusion drive?

The main problems floating around seem to be Fusion drive and/or OS X/Processor related but all see to be affecting...

But just to clarify -- you have only an internal 7,200 RPM HDD and you do *not* have the Fusion drive option? Right?

Avid is probalby not likley to respond to this. And its is not clear there is a problem or not.

Other DAWs support recording to the system/audio drive. Pro Tools does not. Folks with slow 4,800...

Just leave the Fusion drive alone, you have a 7,200 rpm backing drive in your 27" iMac and at least with Pro Tools you should not be recording to this boot/system drive in the first place. You can...

Do you have a USB2 hub to test with? If not I'd grab a Belkin USB2 powered hub (just because other folks are using them). Like this one...
