Another year later and it's happened to me (PT 2019.10). Somehow I had suspended automation. I went to WINDOW>AUTOMATION and unsuspended everything. Who knows what I clicked to suspend everything.

Just saw this...No I have the Clarett2Pre as a slave to the Scarlett's time clock via ADAT optical...and the sync lock is on. This is a know (but as yet unsolved) problem

For the archives... this has not solved my problems and I have emailed Focusrite. The clicks, when they occur, happen in both the Clarett and the Scarlett and get the clicks in the same spots...

I have previosuly used a Focurite Scarlett for additional input, and when doing that I set Focusrite clock to "ADAT" for the Scarlett channels, but now I am only using the Clarett and have Focusrite...

Yes, changing the playback engine buffer size to a higher number was the right answer to your question... Go low on that number 256, or less when recording so there is less latency.

I am confused about Rewire. I have not yet really understood why it is necessary or what it does, (another "black box" for me) but it has worked.

I am trying to use WavesTune which needs it....
