Re: more -9129 errors during bounce to disk

Do you mean volume automation type fading?
True fades are only used on audio tracks.
Interesting observation, however.
That says that automation beyond the bounce region can cause a crash in the...

Re: Have to shell out another $100 to use VSTs?

Welcome to the world of ProTools, joo.
Although I am no fan of Ikmultimedia, you also have SampleTank which is a true synth RTAS plugin.
And yes, it is better to create an MP3 from another program...

Re: Does Mbox really suck this bad?

In short, Sardi... yes MBox really does suck this bad, and no, Digi doesn't have an apps writer worth beans (for PTLE anyway). As for compatability testing, I think they just cross their fingers...

Re: protools with amd turion 64 processor

Just watch out for the chipsets with the AMD notebooks. I found out the hard way that the Ali chipset is not supported.

Re: Using 002 Interface as stand alone

You should be able to monitor the input from your headphones on the OO2 in stand alone mode.

But I agree, why not track in ProTools and then import the audio into Cubase.

If you like your...

Re: New EQ3 : why as multiple Mono only ???

So why not make it unlinkable stereo plugin like Waves' Eq's. Thet way you can move things together and separate on the same graphic. Somehow this is just not quite right. It's fine on mono tracks...

Re: Bouncing nightmare

Print the final output to an audio track and then export this new track rather than bouncing it. It is the only sure fire way you can get what you need. Are you using v6.4 with CS 6 & 9 installed?...

Re: recording on aux input

You either need to route the Aux to an Audio track or input straight into an Audio track. Aux tracks are mainly used for routing.

Re: Hiss Removal on noisy archival footage?

I just went through this on an old recording. I found that using a multiband compressor (from an un-named company) in expander mode will lower the hiss considerably. Use a fast attack and release.

Re: ableton free upgrade!!

I couldn't find the default plugins in V4 either.
I loaded my Waves plugins as VST and found I can only use 1 (ONE!) plugin for the entire session.

I think version 4 is simply a look at what...

Re: Waves update plan recommended????

Now that Waves has introduced a new policy that will not allow you to sell you software unless you are current on the WUP, you have to ask yourself if you're happy with the product as is or if you...

Re: Problems with PTLE? Post your configuration here..

Other than what is stated in the manual, post in 'best desktop' thread. I think Allen H. will have an answer to that one.

Re: FX55 Slow ???

Reload your OS. You can test this by creating a new partition of Windows. It's a bug you'll never find. Believe me, I've tried. On the new OS, everything worked great (like it use to on the...

Re: Does Mbox really suck this bad?

Can either of you Digi & Apple wielding salesmen tell me how 'your' configurations stack up for field recording? This question is being asked because IF MBox is suppose to be a 'recording on the go'...
