I might be misunderstanding, but I believe at the bottom of the PIA email it said, All Black Friday Sale plugin deals will be available for the duration of week 4.

Try holding down the control key while pressing the "p" or ";" keys while in the mix window. Adding the shift key will add the the selection.

Can anybody confirm that closing the edit window ( you can leave the mix window up ) on any sessions exhibiting this behavior helps in any way ?

I might be wrong but I believe going lower ( 64 ) has to do with dsp/voice settings per chip, and higher values are attached to higher sample rates. Apologies if I am misunderstanding.

Been using sessions all day with lot's of TL Space instances in 9 so it definitely works. Not sure where it went but you should be fine to reinstall.

You can click the letter next to the send name while holding the command key and then select assignments or another send to view expanded.

This may not help but you said you were on 8.0 cs2. On the download page for 8.0.1 is says you should update to cs3 before installing the new update of 8.0.1. Not sure what omitting that step could...
