Re: New PT Prefs helper

Pete's last posted beta is before the 3/2024 change so the answer would be no. He does know though (as seen in his posts)

Re: Plugins compatible with Apple Silicon natively

Which reverb makers? I have a ton and they are all native. Only one that isn't is Lexicon but that has nothing to do with Apple M and everything to do with Lexicon being terrible at supporting their...

The link to the beta is found in this thread posted by Pete (vs going to Pete's official webpage which downloads the release version)

Re: MacOS Sonoma

What is your audio hardware?
This sounds like a driver problem for whatever you are using. Have you cleared all the security hurdles in macOS about using audio interfaces? Sometimes that means...

Re: Anyone in more rural areas using Starlink for your ISP?

If you can get PTP, it's a far better option. Both in ping times and throughput. From Santa Monica (studio) to the tower in Downtown LA (about 11 miles), we use PTP for data over choosing fibre (and...

Re: Anyone in more rural areas using Starlink for your ISP?

Most of the issue with satellite services has been latency more than throughput. What's the ping times on your Starlink service?

Had a studio up in the Malibu hills and we had to use satellite...

Re: MacOS Sonoma

No. The ilok issue is specific to AU plugins (like Logic uses) not AAX. Which is why Pro Tools is not affected by it but Logic is. Running in Rosetta is the temp fix for this issue if needing to use...

Re: Solo moves track on top

Since you are on an S6, you don't have "Eucontrol."
Your issue is probably the Pro Tools Preferences settings under Preferences > Mixing > Controllers box.
Probably the "Edit Window Follows"

Re: Batch rename disk file name too?

This has been asked for since even before "batch clip rename" came out.
And Avid has ignored us though multiple users have pointed out the easy way to avoid/warn a user if they are going to give 2...

Re: Sync X - Help Understanding.

No. HDX and HDn cards work in particular models of Sonnet thunderbolt/PCIe chassis. Either that or the Mac Pro. Both are options to run those cards (and therefore SyncHD/SyncX) with Macs. I'd dare...

Re: Automation Lock Tracks

You can also disable automation tracks by flipping to what automation view (like volume) and then command+left click where it says Volume. It'll grey out and disable. (Same for Mute, etc). And you...

Re: PT 2023.13.1 Video Playback

Oh god no. This is exactly what Apple/Logic did (everything had to be transcoded to an Apple Intermediary Codec.) It was crash-central not to mention just locking up the DAW while waiting to process....

Re: Mixing/Editing Template Help appreciated

That may have been what you meant but not what you wrote.

You've stated "change a preset." There is no "preset" involved here. You probably meant "There is no way to change the order of tracks...

Re: Mixing/Editing Template Help appreciated

No. There is no way to change order by recall on the Pro Tools mix or edit windows.
Visibility yes.
And if you are using Eucontrol surfaces, you can use layouts but those track orders only appear...

Re: Can TB3 be the only connection to the Mac?

Sorry, I didn't see this question earlier. No mystery. That's CoreAudio's safety buffer that is required. RME has written about this but it is implemented by all Core Audio interfaces. I'll just...

Re: Channel Page Custom Knob Layouts

No. Eucontrol pulls up the custom channel setup by matching it to the plugin id. So the plugin will have the same custom channel no matter what track.

Re: Can TB3 be the only connection to the Mac?

Appendix E of the MTRX manual (or the AX32 manual) has these latencies for the full size MTRX (including which are fixed and which are variable depending on clock speed.)
The MTRX Studio manual...

Re: Izotope RX compatible with PT2024 on windows?

RX 10.5.0.2330 Adv, Win 10 Pro 22H2, PT Ult 2024.3

RX Connect works perfectly fine (and does handles)

Maybe you've set something wrong in the AudioSuite window? Post a screenshot of plugin and...

NO

That's just grasping as ridiculous ideas.

This is most likely dependent on Metal2 usage by Pro Tools and Metal2 use by Apple...

Re: Help - RX off by 96,000 Samples

What is export via an audio interface mean? If you are bouncing inside Pro Tools, that has...
