I can still use my Digi 003 Rack+ with 2019.5 and 2019.6 on Mojave 10.14.5 and 10.14.6

The Digi 003 Rack+ still works in Windows 10 even but I do not use it on Windows for Pro Tools. When in...

Re: Increase in PT performance going from 32GB RAM to 64?

i personally don't see an added value for BOOTING with a NVMe SSD vs 2.5" SSD.

now if you want to take into consideration their respective read/write speeds then that is where all the added value...

Re: Upgrading a Mac Pro 5.1 12core 2.4Ghz

Re: Upgrading a Mac Pro 5.1 12core 2.4Ghz

PCIe is external hardware, SATA is internal. Priorities are placed on internal connections for...

Re: Increase in PT performance going from 32GB RAM to 64?

I'd like to clarify bootrom 140 is what introduced the (native) NVMe bootability for "cheese grater" Mac Pros, the 4,1 and 5,1

cMP's are on 144 now or at least that is my latest version with...

Re: Upgrading a Mac Pro 5.1 12core 2.4Ghz

DO NOT GET THE 970 EVO PLUS!!!!!

It is incompatible with macOS! you will have all sorts of system instability problems. I do no think this is intentional on Samsung. I should say its a "bug" with...

Re: Mojave & hyperthreading off

thank you! I've read a lot of mixed reviews on how hyper threading being enabled/disabled has given worse/better performance with PT. I know I will want to give it a try sometime just for my own...

Re: Mojave & hyperthreading off

Out of curiosity, how did you disable hyper threading on a Mac/OSX? I am a noob on the topic but I recall it being more difficult on a Mac than a PC. If you could provide the steps or a link to...

Re: Pro tools could not set samplerate..

I made a likely rather rambling post about this exact issue months ago. I'm 99% certain it is an issue between Pro Tools and your interface. It ONLY happens with third party interfaces.
The only...

this is a Pro Tools forum and you are asking a question explicitly about the price(s) of PCIe TB3 chassis and building a hackintosh.

you should be doing you own price comparison...

Re: Spotlight and its impact to CPU Usage when recording on a Mac.

is it just me or didn't they USED to have a little blurb about disabling the cmd + space bar combo in spotlight for starting a record take in PT? I'm pretty sure that was mentioned in older versions...

Re: ProTools 2018.4 Ultimate and macOS Mojave

thanks for sharing this! I thought I was a bit crazy on CPU usage since updating to PT 2018.X

Re: Need Help Decided to Upgrade to OS High Sierra

the 003 family drivers work on High Sierra (all releases 10.13 to 10.13.6). I know this from having a 003 Rack+

Note that I have not used the 003 Rack+ very much though in High Sierra. So it could...
