Re: out of phase question

The difference between 44.1 and 48 sr would be changing the tempo, not just causing phase problems.

Re: Delay compensation causing problems with track freeze workaround, please help

I would suggest:
From track's output selector, select New Track...
Rec enable the new track.
Record.
Make original track inactive.

Re: Possible to Punch Record WITHOUT headphones?

Perhaps the solution is simply to use headphones but do the one-side-off trick. Slide one side off the ear. One ear lets you monitor playback, the other gives you the full sound of your voice and...

Re: Triggering multiple soft synths on different octaves

Maybe you can find a use for "Midi real time properties" to achieve what you want. (Right-klick on track name.)

Re: Do I need multiple reverb Aux returns for this?

I just tried this. A multiple mono Dverb on a aux track, a stereo send on a track that goes to the aux, and the pan on the send decides where in the stereo field the reverb is placed. Works perfect....

Re: Do I need multiple reverb Aux returns for this?

Why don't you just try the regular thing with a aux and sends, but with a multiple mono version of the reverb? It should at least give the impression of the reverb return following send pan. It most...

Re: MBox Headphone Mix issue

Not very easy to get a very clear picture of the exact routing you have here, but you seem to be using a couple of sends. Could it be as easy as one of these is meant to be set to "pre fader" and...

Re: Sanity Check on Aisle 2 please!

Of course you can partition the internal drive on the mac and do like you say. No problem at all. Of course you understand that should the disk break down you lose everything.

In...

Re: hard Disk back up system

I just use Timemachine. It comes with OSX.
I'm on OSX 10.7 like you, but on a Mac Pro 3.1.

Timemachine is supposed to work all the time, but I turn it off and instead use a small freeware called...

Re: Printing stereo midi to mono audio?

On instr track: Pan L to center, and R to center, and set output to, say bus 1-2.
Create mono audio track, set its input to either bus 1 or 2, no difference. Rec enable.
Record.

Re: New track height control

I never looked into this, but could it be that the new track gets the same height as the currently selected track.? Or the track next to it? (which would be the currently selected track.)

Re: CCC question

That is simply wrong.
That you lose data if you add a partition to a drive with no system on it.

Re: CCC question

Yes, of course. Sorry.
My system is set to norwegian, and disk tools is just my translation of its norwegian name.

That's not correct.
I just double-checked. You can add and manage partitions...

Re: CCC question

You can manage partitions just fine, boot-drive or not. I do it all the time, with Apples Disk Tools.

If your internal 2TB volume has a lot of free space, just clone the partition that's on it now...

Personally, I use Disk Tools to make .dmg's and never had a problem. Feels safe.

Here's a couple of little tricks that you might not be aware of:

1. Simultaneous creation of sends: select the tracks you want, create a new send while holding option-shift, and they will all get...

Re: Scarlett 2i4 headphone mix?

But, usually these kind of interface, the phones out just outputs main, 1-2.
You need to connect outputs 3-4 to the behringer and make pre-fader sends on each track that goes to 3-4. Then you will...

Re: Fast Track Pro/Audio Technica AT2020

Yes, definitely that's your problem.
Phantom power is only fed to the mic with a xlr connection.
You'll have to get a xlr-to-xlr cable.

I've learned the hard way to not use norwegian characters in track names in my sessions (Æ,Ø,Å), because they change to things like ;%&( or...
