I don't 100% remember, but 2019 was laggy, just not as bad as 2020.5. When I went back to Pro Tools a few hours back, things seemed to be stable again.

How's everybody else doing?

I was on the phone with Avid tech support for the past couple of hours and the only workaround right now is to work offline - so no connection to the internet while in Pro Tools.

Do the same...

This started happening to me, too. Was working last night, now... lag and stall lag and stall.
Does Pro Tools do some backdoor install? I thought it was all manual.

All those preferences are good to trash. The core audio one is not necessary.

Also, found out that I can copy (Apple + C)...

actually, I didn't trash the prefs. I trashed the digi databases before. My bad.

So, what's ok to trash?:

Edit > Paste Special > "Merge", "Repeat to Fill Selection, and "To Current Automation Type"

"Merge" and "To Current Automation Type" are greyed out.

I already trashed my preferences and still...

it still doesn't work. That is the old use for apple + C. Apple + C and Apple + V now only works for volume automation and region copy and paste

Control + Apple + C to copy "pan L" on Track 1

then

Control + Apple + V to paste "pan R" on Track 1

I have a dual G5, OS X.4.9 running PT 7.3 and DV Toolkit 2. I am trying to move my video to an exact time code spot of 00:00:06:00. Except the video will not move to that location and stops...
