I got the OWC thunderbay IV, a 4 bay thunderbolt interface.
It shipped with 7200rpm...

Re: Surround Bounce to DVD

www.neyrinck.com

You can purchase their Dolby Digital encoder/decoder which does AC3 files, or the DTS encoder/decoder.

I've been using it for years with not a single hiccup.

Re: Can I open a PT10 project in PTLE 8?

Re: How can listen a DVD in 5.1 via an OMNI HD ?

Take a look at Neyrinck Soundcode for Dolby Digital.
I use it in a similar way to get real time AC3 info from an xbox development kit into my Pro-Tools system. The same method works with a DVD.

Re: Quicktime and Pro Tools seeing video's frame rate differently

I've found any time you try quicktime pro to convert a frame rate, it never does it correctly. It lets you THINK it did, but it doesn't do it.

Re: Creating a side chain compressor

A multiband compressor would be your best option here. Take a look at the McDSP MC2000 or ML4000, IMO a hundred times better than any of the waves stuff and way less expensive too.
