I just got my unit yesterday and i'm having the exact same problem. Very annoying. And of course there's no info out there on it. I may be sending mine back and going with a cubase interface.

Well I guess I didn't realize that you had to have the mix knob turned up in order to hear even if you have monitors plugged in. I thought that was only if listening through headphones, but now when...
