What's the main difference between Sound Libraries and Catalogs?


Does they both serve the same purpose?

Right, there's no SRC happens.. I've just been confused by the digibase browser is playing files at normal speed regardless of which sample rate they are, while on the timeline...

Hi :-),

I have imported 48khz audio to a 44.1khz session with no conversion involved.

Consolidate clips gives me audio files of a 44.1khz.

Am I right assuming that SRC gets applied properly...

This indicates that midi out port, which track is assigned to, is not currently available.

Check its assignment by getting Instrument into view (Edit or Mix window).

Rolled back to 1.0.1 but still the same - any sample loaded as a Drum Kit sounds like lowpass filtered around 10Khz... Same sample loaded as a Sliced or Time-Stretched audio sounds ok.

Solved!

There was a MIDI port enabled in PT, which communicates with Yamaha Studio Manager... I've just disabled it under "Input Devices..."

Thanks Chief, that makes sense.

But does the file type matters here? Because I can easily have large (over 2GB) size audio or .dmg files, for example, in a 32-bit environment on my Mac...

Unhappy "access violation" error when catalog.ddb is close to 2GB...

Hello

I get "access violation" error when cataloging samples in DigiBase Pro and my database file (ddb) is around 2GB.

Is this expected behavior?
