Re: Reason 11 in Windows as VST3

As I mentioned at the outset, I just don't get what the P-heads are thinking. Why delay AAX? It includes a HUGE potential market for them, especially if they allow VST hosting with AAX version of...

Re: Reason 11 in Windows as VST3

If you do experiment with it in PW and get it to work, please report back what you discovered. I for one would be curious to know!

Re: audio to midi in pro tools 12.5

As Sardi said, there's no feature in PT that will convert a melody line to a MIDI file. However, you CAN do this with Melodyne. (https://www.celemony.com/en/melodyne/what-is-melodyne) There may be...

Re: Preferred Compressor for Vocals

Andre - Interesting you should mention the TDR Kotelnikov. I recently tried that on a vocal and I did like how it sounded. I only have the free version at the moment. Its not like I need to buy yet...

Re: Reason 11 in Windows as VST3

Until there is AAX I'm not upgrading. And, they'd better allow VST hosting when it is AAX. If they do, and with the MIDI enhancement, Reason will be the most powerful and versatile VI on the planet...

Re: Preferred Compressor for Vocals

There's two things here. Compressors you like to use when recording the vocals. And then compressors you prefer for the mix. I was thinking specifically of the mix when I posted the OP.

Re: Preferred Compressor for Vocals

Don't think I can be of much help there. The only upward compressor I'm aware of is Maximus (I think that's what its called) that comes with FL Studios. I don't use FL but I've seen the Maximus...

Re: Preferred Compressor for Vocals

I have the R-Vox, and have used it often. I agree it does sound very clean. I found the Pro Compressor from Avid seemed to color the sound in some way.

I don't have the CLA -2A I have the...

Preferred Compressor for Vocals

I'm not asking what is the "best" compressor for vocals...that's a non-starter. I'm asking you guys which compressor you prefer for vocals and why? I've been trying different ones and can hear...

Using EasuUS to recover deleted files

I posted this in Dave's (Albee) thread about recovering his lost files, but it may have gotten lost in the many comments. But, I do need some advice on this, so I'll repost in this separate thread....

Re: Major file loss on windows 10 rig

So is EaseUS a good option to recover lost files? I recently deleted some files by accident and didn't realize I had done so until AFTER I had also emptied the trash bin. I was deleting a bunch of...
