yeah well I start the same session up today after giving it and myself the night to rest and it worked fine.

Kontact 3 is supposed to have a much larger library, and some more features.
And if all your doing is composing why not go with logic 8?

theres an easier way,
just start PT, then start reason, then go into the PT mix window and create an INSTRUMENT track and load reason as you would an rtas, this gives you audio and midi on the same...

Smack is alright, I've found the free digi comp3 to work well in most situations. It gives you quite a bit of control and doesn't hog a lot of CPU, where as smack seems more like a one size fits all...

check into some blue sky monitors, those things sound great. For the money I don't think you can beat em. And from there I would go with Pre's... Mic pre's make a huge difference on vocals.
