Re: How does PT compare to other DAW'ss for electronic music production?

So basically, the Desktop or snow, is just the synth, without the keyboard?

Oh and do the 2 synths connect with MIDI in/out to my axiom pro, or does it use USB to connect then I just use my...

Re: How does PT compare to other DAW'ss for electronic music production?

I have a question about the Access keyboards. I see that they are physical synths, with ones with and without keyboards. I'm only familiar with using my Axiom pro 49 keyboard for MIDI. So since I...

Re: How does PT compare to other DAW'ss for electronic music production?

Okay I think I'm getting it now. It's not what DAW you use, that's just personal preference, it's how you use it and what software you use that makes the musician. Since software is the biggest point...

How does PT compare to other DAW'ss for electronic music production?

I know with Pro Tools, you can create pretty much anything you want. And that a lot of people say that Pro Tools really shines in editing. My question though is, how does Pro Tools compare with other...

Re: Pro Tools dubstep/electronic tips and tricks please :)

I was actually thinking of getting Massive, maybe komplete when I have the money. But what basic modulation controls do you control to get that electronic sound. I know the LFO and cutoff are used a...

Pro Tools dubstep/electronic tips and tricks please :)

I am new to recording. I know that for creating dubstep and electronic music, a lot of artists use fruity loops or other DAW's like that. That's great and all, except I love Pro Tools. It's what I...

Re: What does simultaneous in/out mean?

Lol I agree. All I want is an interface with 4 XLR inputs, and maybe options to add more with cables in the future. I wish they would just lay down the facts of the interface instead of sugar coating...

Re: What does simultaneous in/out mean?

So if an interface can record up to 192K, and it has XLR, SPDIF, and ADAT inputs, I just have to figure out which sample rate I'll be working with, then after that add up the number of the all inputs...

Re: What does simultaneous in/out mean?

How does 8 xlr + 2 ADAT equal 24? Wouldn't that only be 10 simultaneous ins of recording? I'm sorry I'm just so confused on this.

Re: What's the maximum # of audio tracks I can have in PT10, Non HD in 96K?

Only 48? Hmm I'm not sure if most people use all 48 for a basic song or if I should switch down to 48K to record. I've heard people get all pissed off saying 48k sucks, and that 96 is better, but...

What's the maximum # of audio tracks I can have in PT10, Non HD in 96K?

I have an mbox 3 pro and currently record at 96K. I have Pro Tools 10, regular version, not HD.

And yes, I did try checking Avid's site, but for some reason I keep getting a page encryption error...

Re: What exactly is a limiter, and what is it used for?

I don't get how I'm being a troll. I was simply asking a question because I just purchased Pro Tools and saw the Dyn/Expander limiter plug in and wondered what it did. We all have to start somewhere....
