Re: Offline editor

You nailed it, thanks so much.
For some odd reason they require you to hold the shift key as well as the (regular) control key to activate right click.

Re: Stereo Bus Headroom - Venue Profile

I'm with Scott on this one. You don't say what kind of input gain you're showing on the Midas but I can tell you that the XL4 input pre-amps are perfectly happy being driven very hard indeed and...

Re: Plug in not accesible

And finally I've had the chance to try out my plugs in another console, funnily enough back in chilly Moscow, and all is good and it all went swimmingly so I have no idea why they wouldn't appear on...

New standalone 2.8.1

Are show files created in the new 2.8.1 standalone software backwards compatible to Venue systems running previous builds?
Cheers.

Sad to say the trip to Russia ended up with PM5d's so until I get to another Venue the mystery will continue.
I shall still keep you posted.

Re: Plug in not accesible

Yes, thats a good point, the show file doesn't contain the plug ins, I created the file in the standalone software without the ability to put them in so they were never there in the rack. I'll see...

Hi Sheldon.

No, no messages came up at all apart from the Agree dialog. I will try to disable/enable if the problem comes up again but unfortunately won't have access to a console until I get to...

Re: Suggested VENUE plug-ins

I can't live without my Waves plugs. Try them all, the Renaissance compressor on vocals is excellent and the vintage eq's just lift the vocal or instrument to great sonic levels but with fantastic...

Re: 10.4.10 uh-oh!

It's running perfectly on my 1.33 GHz Powerbook 10.4.10 and he has a faster CPU so I'm sure it's not that.

Re: Latest Mac Upgrade OS X 10.4.6

OK, I've taken the plunge and from a mixing point of view my session is working fine in 10.4.6. I haven't tried recording anything yet but will give it a whirl and let you know.

Re: Latest Mac Upgrade OS X 10.4.6

Digi usually take quite a while before supporting any OS X point updates to make sure there are no glitches so if you are using PT for your livelihood don't update the OS yet. If, however, you are...

Re: Recording Drums on a Digi 002

A company called Presonus make an 8 channel pre amp box that can output it's individual channels via Lightpipe to the adat input on the back of your 002. I think they're around a grand. You can also...

Re: Mac OS 10.4.4 not tested or supported...yet.

I must say I feel almost guilty that PT 7 worked perfectly well in 10.4.4 for me and now works perfectly well in 10.4.5 on my 17"PB 1.33 GHz. I did say almost right!

Re: Mac OS 10.4.4 not tested or supported...yet.

It's all running swimmingly on my 002/PowerBook 1.33GHz 10.4.4 Sorry to hear the horror stories from others. If it's any consolation my (2nd) power harness has to be wiggled virtually every day and I...

Re: Running LE without 002r hardware attached ?

It really would be excellent if Digi went the cardbus route. I rough mixed an entire album last year on the tour bus but my 002 and 17" PB take up a full table and 2 seats which is a pain on a...
