Re: 2020.3 is out

In addition to the current iPad app, make sure you also have the latest EuControl app (v20.1.0.50) installed on your computer.

Re: New Mac Pro (7.1)

This is how mine is configured and working using only the Avid supplied power cable labled "9180-60004-00 REV .A". Mac Pro I/O card in slot 8, OWC SSD in slot 6, HDX card in slot 5, Radeon Pro Vega...

Re: New Mac Pro (7.1)

That's frustrating. Does it look your power connector is seated the same as mine?

Re: New Mac Pro (7.1)

Strange. It's snug and it was a little tricky to get fully seated, but it most definitely fit and my HDX card passes DigiTest.

Re: New Mac Pro (7.1)

The label on the Avid supplied cable that I'm using says "9180-60004-00 REV .A". Here are some detailed pics.

Re: New Mac Pro (7.1)

I stand corrected. I was going on info from another Pro Tools user who received their new Mac Pro before me who told me that the adapter cables were necessary. After taking some pics of the...

Re: New Mac Pro (7.1)

The Belkin adapter that I mentioned works for me in the new Mac Pro with a recently purchased HDX card. I'll try to take some detailed pics and post asap.

Re: HDX in new Mac Pro/Catalina

The new Mac Pro isn't officially supported yet, but I have a single HDX card installed in slot 6 (two slots below the Apple IO card) and it's working fine. Pro Tools 2109.12 did a firmware update on...

I've got my iLok 3 in the internal USB port now and it's working fine.

Re: New Mac Pro (7.1)

I assume that there’s no benefit of putting the HDX card in a 16X slot so I put it in slot 6 (8X, two slots below the Apple IO card) and yes, you will need the adapter for the power cable. I bought...

Re: New Mac Pro (7.1)

Just upgraded from a 2008 Mac Pro, PT 10 HD3 Accel to a 2019 Mac Pro (16-core), Pro Tools 2019.12 HDX. It’s been a surprisingly smooth transition so far. I’ve only just finished updating the bulk of...

Re: Pro Tools 2019 + Catalina

I would love to know if HDX runs on the new Mac Pro. I know it says it's not supported, but I'm wondering if that's because it hasn't been tested.

Re: CoreAudio Manager - Not Connected (HW in use)

I'm an idiot. I pulled my three PCI cards out of my Mac to clean out some dust and mistakenly plugged the interface cable into the wrong card. All is well again with it connected to the Core card.

CoreAudio Manager - Not Connected (HW in use)

I recently upgraded from PT 10.3.8 / OS 10.8.5 to PT 10.3.10 / OS 10.9.5. I know Mavericks is not an officially supported OS for PT 10, but I upgraded after reading success stories here and having...

Valhalla Plate sounds great

This plug-in just came out a couple of weeks ago. I bought it today and it sounds beautiful. I'm a big plate fan and after playing with it for a little while it's putting a big smile on my face. This...

Re: Control 24-Want to remove side panels and armrest for resurfacing

My Control|24 is an Argosy console so although the sides have also gotten a little tacky, they haven't accumulated the crazy amount of dust that the armrest did. They're not really exposed so it...

Re: Control 24-Want to remove side panels and armrest for resurfacing

The armrest is semi-shiny black plastic. Here's a pic that I think is representative of how it actually looks.

Re: Control 24-Want to remove side panels and armrest for resurfacing

I recently removed the rubber coating from my armrest. Like pretty much everyone else's, mine had become a tacky dust magnet. I used a total of three Scotch Brite "No Scratch" sponges...

Re: Superior Drummer crashing - Help with crash report

Since I think I've solved my Superior Drummer issue with the uninstall/re-install, perhaps I'll stay with PT 10.3.8. I appreciate all the input.

Re: Superior Drummer crashing - Help with crash report

The one thing I've noticed since going from Pro Tools 10.3.2 on OS 10.7.x to Pro Tools 10.3.8 on OS 10.8.5 is a dramatic increase in CPU overload errors which I would rarely see prior to upgrading....

Re: Superior Drummer crashing - Help with crash report

Sorry, as soon as I replied I saw my mistake and edited the post. I meant Pro Tools 10.3.10, not OS 10.10. My question was about the general consensus on stability of PT 10.3.10 vs 10.3.8. Sorry for...

Re: Superior Drummer crashing - Help with crash report

Thanks for taking the time to look at this. I had read about some people here having memory issues with PT 10.3.10 so I've stayed on 10.3.8. What's the general consensus on 10.10 these days,...

Superior Drummer crashing - Help with crash report

I've been experiencing crashes running the RTAS version of Superior Drummer 2.4.3 (latest) with PT HD 10.3.8 (full system specs are in my sig below). I've had a good run of reliability, but lately...
