Got it.

At this point, the main thing throwing me off is the Optical Out on the ISA828. Since the ISA doesn't have conversion, what is that used for?

...yea, that was a stupid statement, I didn't "have to" do anything...when I bought the PCI card, the owner only had the license for PT7HD, whereas I've been working in PT8 for years now.

Finally, I have acquired an Octopre Platinum & connected through ADAT succesfully!

I like how this is all coming together...now I just have to figure out why my master clock keeps popping my 96...
