Re: Digi EQ III - Weird Bug!!!!

I've been having a weird problem with Filterbank F3 this past week.

I've been using it to cut a lot of ultra low end mud from bass tracks, and when I open these sessions up, I'm missing the bass...

Re: Some regions had invalid bounds... non-issue becoming a crash issue!!!

Got this on every new session I've started with V9.

No crashes, but a bit of a PITA.

Re: Core Audio for HD users still utterly crippled

Despite some of the other revelations regarding HD limitations that you've seemingly overcome recently, I'd love to hear a genuine technical response from you why this isn't possible.
It's hard to...

Re: Even Dirk Turpin wore a mask when he robbed people

Because I want access to my I/O from within the many other incredible tools available to engineers and composers. PT software is great, but it doesn't, and doesn't claim to, cover all bases.

If...

Re: Let me get this straight..

I never mentioned a 192

The asio limitation comes from the cards themselves - it doesn't matter what interface you hook up, whether it's HD IO, 192, Apogee AD/DA X, Prism etc, the...

Re: Even Dirk Turpin wore a mask when he robbed people

And that's my issue - show me anywhere, in any of the documentation for a HD system, in any of the online comparison charts, where this 8 channel limit is stated. You won't, 'cause it's gone.

It's...

Thumbs down Re: Even Dirk Turpin wore a mask when he robbed people

This is totally untrue, and very misleading by Avid.

HD system users DO NOT get 32 I/O with Core Audio - they get the same old 8.

This was the only reason I updated so quick - it was just what...

Core Audio for HD users still utterly crippled

As a HD user, my main reason for upgrading was the impression that the core audio drivers had finally been fully updated, and we were now able to access up to 32 I/O when using software such as...

Re: "Some regions had invalid bounds and were adjusted or deleted"

It's not just for cross platform, its for backwards compatibility. This would be an issue certainly if you saved a PT8 session as PT5, and opened it on an OS9 mix system for example.

However, for...

Re: "Some regions had invalid bounds and were adjusted or deleted"

This is the Mac OS in 2010 we are talking about - you can't write programs that crash just because you've used the '&' character!

These characters are illegal only in that they don't maintain...

Re: "Some regions had invalid bounds and were adjusted or deleted"

I've just had this on 8.1cs1

Had the message box, then all the graphics went screwy. Was unable to save the session and it finally crashed.

Here are some screen shots -

Re: 8.03cs2 Coreaudio driver - phase reversed inputs

Thanks for that link Jimmy.

I'm surprised by several things in that thread.

Firstly, it's 18 months old, and it appears that the re-write of the core audio driver never happened.

Secondly,...

8.03cs2 Coreaudio driver - phase reversed inputs

I've posted in the TDM forum but thought I might get a better response here, so I'm reposting.

After upgrading from a G5 to an Intel machine I was rechecking the digi coreaudio driver for latency...

Re: 8.03cs2 Core Audio drive - phase reversed inputs

Just to add -

This issue is definitely with the core audio driver, as the same route back test done directly in PTHD is perfectly OK.

I'm using a 192 Digital for this - not that it makes any...

8.03cs2 Core Audio drive - phase reversed inputs

Hi

Just been doing a latency test on native apps (Cubase 5 & Logic Pro) and discovered that the inputs on the core audio driver are all phase reversed.

This is with the 8.03sc2 version of the...

Re: AIF File Import Problems

Test File (files.me.com/vinylizor/vvcujk)

Heres a small audio file that will do this. Drop it into a 24bit 44.1K session with the record file type set to AIF.

Thanks for the offer to fix them...

Bringing up this thread from the depths of time....

Still with PT8 and Cubase 5 we have this problem.

AIF files created with Cubase (and readable by any other audio app) can be dragged and...

Re: 192 or HD Card issue?

I had a very similar problem a couple of months ago!

HD3 PCI in a G52.7 PPC. Apogee AD/DA16X on the core card & 192 Digital on the second.

I had set up a session with a test tone feeding 24...

Re: Samsung 2443BW 24" Humming noise

I have the first gen 24" Samsung 240T and mine hums - a high sine like pitched tone. It seems like it comes from the panel itself not the separate power supply. It's 'very' annoying and fatiguing in...

Re: Is anyone else having problems with noisy 192 analog inputs?

I get this on the AES input on my 192 digital.
It just starts spluttering with noise.
When it starts, neither power cycling the unit, or changing the clocking will fix it.
It'll annoy the hell out...

Re: How do you REALLY DELETE all unused files PLEASE HELP!

However you look at it, it's an archaic and very user UN-friendly system.

I appreciate that the over all aim is to prevent the mistaken deletion of any audio thats needed.
However, the best way...
