Re: mix window zoom

You can't. The only ways you can see more or less of your mix window is by setting your faders to narrow (ctrl+alt+m)

And hiding certain elements of your channel strip ie. sends, inserts,...

Re: using PT8 in 24 nit with 16 bit samples

No, leave them at 16bit. Converting them to 24bit just adds extra bits of empty data into the file.

Re: Reaper 3.35 for me till you sort it!

I just found Reaper a bit clumsy to work in. I've not spent any considerable amount of time learning it however but until the workflow becomes as intuitive as PT I can't make it my go-to DAW.

Re: Complete Noob Question

In what way can't you enter 32nd Notes?

How are you trying to enter them?

I can enter them no problem, just set your grid to 32nd notes. The MIDI edit window has a separate grid value to the...

Re: HOW TO Audio Pitch bend in PT 8 ????

You can't vary pitch over time in Pro Tools, without a 3rd party app.

There are a few out there, but I like QuikQuak Pitchwheel.

Re: Bounce Issue

Highlighing a track would only work if link edit selection and timeline is selected.

So technically, you're both right

Re: Multiple sends

There is a button that looks like a little red and White target. Press that.

Or shift click (I think) on a send.

Re: How to match 2 tracks with session tempo?

Real Time bouncing I'm afraid. A 3 hour session will take 3 Hours to bounce.

If you are using a single mono or stereo track, with your songs spread across the timeline, you can consolidate all...

I doubt USB speakers will work. Have they got analog inputs at all to connect via jack or XLR to your Pro Tools interface?

Re: Midi/VI latency: Is this for Real? Help Needed.

Having a superfast PC over a year old may not mean you are guaranteed a working PT system.

Post a Sandra report before anyone can help you at all.

Re: pt 8 update vs m-box micro with pt 8

The PT 8 update is the same as the full PT8 installer. You can leagally use PT on 2 systems (I think), but in theory, you can use it on as many as you want to. But I suppose you're also gaining an...

Re: mbox2 wont power on with pro tool le 8

Are the drivers installed correctly? Check in device manager for the mbox2.

Has this been working previously and just stopped? Or is it a new setup?

Re: RAM for RTAS plugins

No, RTAS plug-ins 'use' the CPU.

What do use RAM are RTAS 'sampler' plug-ins, as they need to load the individual samples into RAM.

If you're using a lot of sampling instruments then yes, more...

Re: Trimmer tool question!

Digi need to implement a 'replace region' command, so you can replace all regions of the same name with a new region from the bin.

Or,

A mirror mode, like they have for MIDI.

Re: No input Level or activity on Meter

If you have the mix knob all the way to the left then yes, this is normal. It's monitoring the inputs of your mbox 'pre-computer' as such.

Re: Best Place for MIDI cables?

I got an AT4033 for £125, retail at about £320.

For something as cheap as a MIDI cable, you may as well give it a try just to see what experience you get.

Re: Best Place for MIDI cables?

Yea, it's all new. Just very cheap, and usually you can get free or very cheap postage on items as small and light as a MIDI cable.
