If your 002R serial number ends in a letter before G you probably have a power harness problem. Call Digidesign. They will overnight a new one.

The needle is cutting the waveform into the vinyl. Waves 200Hz and lower are pretty long in length and could cause the needle to jump out of the groove if it is loud enough and panned hard enough.

Go to I/O... in Setup and you can change the default track output to S/PDIF. To install 7.0, you need SP2 if you have XP.

You have to assign the Master (MST) signal to Digital Out 2 (DOUT2) in the Master Block of the 1680, then just mute whichever tracks you don't want.
