I would like to know this too. I record in destructive all the time, it keeps my sessions audio files small and a bad take is a bad take. So I wonder why it's 'not done' to record this way,...

It's a bug, somehow Reason does it, randomly on play back... screw up the mutes.

A workaround is to press the mute buttons before playback to off/on or use volume automation instead.

create a stereo aux
insert a muli-mono reason plugin
in the rewire box press the stereo button to unlink it
change "no output" to channel 3

No problem, it's after, when you import the track into PT you have a stereo track created with the music but you can't mute the left or right channel. So you paste this stereo track to 2 mono tracks...
