import session data question

is there a way to import plugs, fader levels (no automation), & sends only without copying audio via import session data? have only ever pulled in complete tracks with it including audio for this...

(i've completely given up hope for AAX DSP. seems it's just not gonna happen for most 3rd party developers)

i was advocating this more than a year before HDX came out. fell on deaf ears at avid.

btw i still don't understand the logic...

yes i encounter this often when overdubbing. it's a total glitch and there's no fix that i'm aware of. there's not even a reliable way to de-bug it as far as i know... i've had limited luck toggling...

wernerf we'd all like to see avid start kicking out dollars to 3rd party developers to get more DSP plugs onto the market, but unfortunately it's a pipe dream. avid's seen a 90% decrease in net...

yes HDX has latency problems with native plugs. i can be maddening if you're not careful where and when you insert native stuff...

i'm lucky that i can run my machine @ 64 buffer most of the time...

+1 i think SoundGrid was on its way to doorstop territory from the day they launched it. i don't know a single studio that's adopted it, or that plan to.

really dumb, costly move by waves IMO.
