Re: Pre-roll doesn't work but post-roll does

Thanks Justin.

I was doing everything right but Dynamic Toolbar was ON, turning it off did indeed allow post roll.

However, I am still confused as to why can't I have it in Dynamic Toolbar...

Re: Play/Pause issue driving me nuts...

Actually Tom I found the opposite.

It seems that it only happens to me in trying to record and in that case I always lower the samples to 128. I found I could not record guitar at 64. It sounded...

Re: Play/Pause issue driving me nuts...

Up to now I have ignored this thread after the first couple as it didn't apply to me. Certainly not in the short time I had 7.4.x
Now after the upgrade to PT8, it still didn't happen until...

Re: Routing problems in ProTools

Luffe,
With the effect thing first:
Let us say you put a reverb plugin on an ordinary audio track (the one with the wave sign). The signal, lets say a vocal, comes in at the top of that audio track...

Re: PT8 will not close

Spyda KB,

You may not be right in this case but what you said IS a cause that I have had for years. When I used to use Sonar and it hung, I would go to CTRL_ALT_DEL and end the task but it still...

Re: new PT8 inserts

Maybe the question is as clear as mud

With a new session, Amplitude, GTR gives me about a 10% RTAS hit but Eleven scores 18-20% maybe the code needs looking at...;)

Re: controlling stereo pan in pt8

In mono the left pan knob (default) controls the mono pan. In stereo the left knob controls the left pan (switch to right pan to control right) - you have the ability to move the pan independantly...

Re: clip lights not lighting when HPF is engaged ??

Just tested with my 003 and you are right.

This mainly concerns people using MIDI outboard gear, but should be done anyway.

Re: PT8....eek!

Being a long time Sonar user, I loved the simple look/feel about PT7 which allowed me to get on with recording music. When I loaded up PT8 I got that Sonar dread feeling of going back in time. PT8...

Re: Narrow MIx Pan knobs in PT8

Greg, I was only saying it "looks" awful. I actually use the encoders on the 003 to turn knobs - so making it work is not the problem.
Cheers :-)

The not so obvious good things in PT8

I have to preface this by saying that around about March I will read the Ref.Guide.

One little tip that I haven't seen mentioned, is the little red button in the plug-in screens. It...
