Yep, a bunch of us left for one reason or another. The "culture" that Digi has enforced here drove many of us away. I don't really even check the forums unless I have nothing better to do.

Yes, the problem is that you are trying to open a 7.4 session on a 7.0 system. You can open a 7.0 session on a 7.4 system, but not the other way around.

Unless you have the option to disable the second core on your CU in your BIOS, you can't do it. What problems are you having that you think will solve by disabling one of your CPU cores?

That's a bunch of horse hocky. I've crashed more Mac systems than Windows systems running Protools. Properly set up and configured, Windows is just as stable as Mac OS for Protools work.

Yes, Windows will only see 3.5GB of the RAM (this is something that would be fixed if Digi would get off their butts, and release an x64 version of Protools).

Yeah, there is. It's called an external Firewire hard drive. Firefire moves data at 400Mbps, USB, if it's 1.1 moves data at about 6Mbps.

If you want to transfer fewer tracks, do a rough stereo mix...

Did you buy the EXACT same make, model, and capacity of new RAM as you had previously? If not, then that's probably your problem.

Windows will use 4GB of RAM (though it will only allocate 3.5GB...
