All I know is unless they changed the way Logic works with live audio, Logic 8 will be the same useless pain in the butt that Logic 7 was for me. 99% of my tracks are live instruments and Pro Tools...

my experiences with logic pro 7 have been nothing but negitive on the "audio recording" side. i'll take pt7 and it's slower updates anytime over the headaches of lp7 crashes.

"Proper" is however you get it to sound like you want it to..... Which shouldn't be confused with "most efficient" and "how everyone else does it".
Though the latter two can be great "starting"...

resetting factory preferences

i hooked up a new audio drive and seem to have lost all my preferences (sounds strange but it's true...). is there a way short of reinstalling pt to reset all the factory defaults?
