i7 hyperthreading upgrade...

Buffer settings, strange results!

How does this work? Because I thought switching to a higher setting would cause less burden on the CPU. However, in the case of the nebula plug in, I get 63% CPU usage when running at 1024, yet...

Yep, fully right. Like the other guy said I use the black dist. for a boost and a bit of tone shaping. The distortion setting on the panel is on about notch 2 or so. Im just curious as to how others...

For AVID - how much CPU has the ER left?

Thinking of possible future expansion packs and whatnot, got me thinking that there is obviously a ceiling where the ER will max out. I wonder how far down the track of that we are?

When I download the update it wont open, telling me its in a unknown format or damaged. yes, I do have WINRAR installed. Anyone else come across this?

What to do? Here is what im thinking.

Ill load drivers for my ER to my laptop. Hook up the ER to my laptop and do the entire upgrade using my laptop. Then, reconnect to studio PC. Will this work?...
