Sorry not to get back quicker...
I wasn't really implementing the midi correctly!
Let's say you have 4 midi tracks - In PT you use one instrument track 1 plug in and do as you explained select...

I have the same problem, I thought it was the mac power settings, I have this with the dropping communication error. I'm on PT 8.0.5 with an Imac.
It is very annoying. I have to restart everything...

Hi,
Let's say in xpand you insert a multitimbral instrument each using one of four midi channels. I want to control each sound in the multitimbral instrument in separate zones across the keyboard....

...I'm pretty sure you can't as I've tried, but can you choose the main and headphone mute switches through hardware.
I often close PT down without having switched my main monitors back on. If I...

Still confused by External Drives
I'm still trying to get my head round the external drive options.
I have an 11 Rack, which is USB, so it would be easy to attach a FW drive - job done (The IMAC just has one).
But I've been...

Re: Can't use sessions at 44.1kHz
Thanks for the reply.
I'm surprised it's that final...I can't remember actually if it ever worked at 44.1. I think I created my sessions at 48.
If PT is closed and I try and change the sample...

Basically I can't run Pro Tools at 44.1 because of loud pops and clicks - although it runs fine at...

Re: Problem solved ???Amazing discovery with MBox 2 series and iMac 27 inch i7. NEW !

Having said that i have...

Re: Triple-checking! :: Mac Mini ok w/ Mbox2Pro

Now I'm very confused - I was told the issues with the new Imacs were software (PT issues) for which an update is in the pipeline for a future release.
If it's a software issue with...

Re: Mac Os 10.6.3 just released
The CS2 release doesn't specifically address the Mac i5/i7 problems with the Mbox apparently and the support for OSX 10.6.3 will be included in the next release. That's the news I have.
I'm...

Tech support told me that they were working on a PT software update - or rather there was an update - PENDING RELEASE, to address the Imac issue.
I'm sure they would...

Re: Problem solved ???Amazing discovery with MBox 2 series and iMac 27 inch i7. NEW !
I've since learnt that the I5's and I7's haven't been qualified. I completely missed it - even though I was pointed there by another poster. It isn't explicit but the new Macs aren't qualified.

Re: ..if the Mbox2 doesn't work with the new Imacs...

As we're not clear whether it's a Mac...

The additional problem with mine is that it crackled...
