thanks for the links guys - VU's (at least plugin versions eg: bomb factory) are switchable to measure PEAK or RMS
so do we assume the mode surroundscope measures in is close to RMS
what VU's...

hey guys n girls ... the surround scope plug that ships with tools - SPECIFICALLY in the VU meter mode - is the measurement displayed in PEAK or RMS

well digi are pretty staunch in not letting other developers / competitors in ... how about the lovely mp3 effort ... you can NOT export high quality 48khz ... a know issue for years ... still no fix...

thanks for the feed back guys
so is it agreed that:
1. when playing back final PRINTED stems @ unity gain to reassemble and reprint the program - combined these DME stems WILL peak over -10dbfs...
