New DAW set up - midi driving me mad - help please!

Hi All

I have been using protools 10,11 and then 12 on a PC system for a few years. All working well - yes, PT 12.6 had been very stable.

Anyway, I have set up a totally new DAW PC (win 10),...

PT 11 (move faders all at once)

Morning all.

I know that in PT10 and below you needed to create a group to move all faders at once. Is this still the method or is there a quicker way in PT11 - if so I have not found it ?!

Re: Midi CC support Protools 11

Sorted !

Was being thick ;)

Just went to track view and selected controllers. Assigned a new controller to midi CC116. So that 0 is "off" and 127 is "on" - works just as I wanted.

Midi CC support Protools 11

Hi All

I think this must be a basic question - but so basic that either I am having a bad day, or it really cannot be done (but if not - why not).

Really simple. I have Pro Tools 11 (latest...

Midi Beat Clock - when not to use.

Hi All.

I am sure there is a simple answer to this simple question ....

Re: Off Line Bounce - quick query

Thanks...

OK - so that kinda makes sense - as to why the system is not so stressed when doing off line bounce. As long as all the plugins work I am sorted then.

cheers

Re: Off Line Bounce - quick query

Hi Chris

Thanks for reply...

I either run everything through VE Pro 5 (on main system or slave) or direct as plugins. I have most of the usual suspects:

NI (and every plugin that goes with...

Off Line Bounce - quick query

Hi All.

This is probably a stupid basic question, but I will ask anyway.

I am doing some investigations on my three PC (win 7) rig with Pro Tools 11 and VE PRO 5 (i.e. two slave machines). I am...

Re: Using real hardware synth in a Pro Tools VI setup

Thanks for your comments Jack...

What I did in the end seems to work ...

1) I recorded a basic piece of music with VI's - including using a slave with VE Pro 5. Got a lot of orchestral stuff...

Using real hardware synth in a Pro Tools VI setup

Evening all..

I have a basic understanding of Pro Tools 11. I have a two PC system (high spec) – one with Pro Tools, the other is a slave (using VE Pro 5). Anyway, the setup up is working well...

Re: Roland Octa-Capture crashes (PT 11 - Win 7 /64-bit )

Bharath - thanks for comments.

In an earlier thread you indicated that the problem was fixed.

I am assuming that the fix will be released with a next version of Pro Tools 11. Is this the case?...

Re: Plans for VST Adapter Support in Pro Tools 11

Amazed that VE PRO 5 is not mentioned more. It works perfectly in PT 10 (latest version). I actually use it now in preference (for most cases) for a direct insert into PT. I let PT worrying about...

Got it working Spenner.

I had some trouble – until I used the view to show the ‘midi output selector’ on each PT track. I then could see I could select the same instance...
