western digital has 1TB disk drive out thats supposed to work more efficient with hyperthreading/dual core setups,
Sata 1TB 7200rpm ... 32mb cache(?) black edition

I would ask to be present at the mastering studio, when they start the mastering to give them some hints about what you want, you will...

i am considering upgrading to ptle 8, but because of the problems im having now im uncertain if i want to gamble on it working.

It can run dv toolkit 2, its even on the same install disc.
ptle 8 can run even more tracks than ptl7**

of course, mixing isnt recommended with headphones at all, but sometimes you got to make some compromises. AKG and Sony would be good candidates.

I warmly recommend akg k518dj . Theyre way below 200 dollars, but good ones.
I originally bought them for portable player use, but i tried mixing with them with great results, no big difference...

hi ive got a problem with pro tools freezing when it comes to loading the plugins from dv toolkit 2 . this problem also seem to be present if i try to run tl space.
Ive had it all up and running on...
