I have heard of people getting great results recording guitars direct w/out any mics or cabs at all. I have a mesa boogie f50 and a marshall l960...sounds great but I do a lot of projects off site...

oh man...I go through this quite often. I record a LOT of hardcore bands in Indianapolis, Indiana. They all know just enough to be annoying. Right now, this kid wants me to 'triple both guitar...

wow! thanks, you were right, that roar is hiding in the lower mids more than the bass.

Don't worry, I run two monitors also and sometimes windows try to run away. Just delete your preferences file. Technically, LE doesn't support dual monitors, but we all know better
